The USMC Waffle Tops (grid fleece) are designed as part of the Flame Resistant Organizational Gear (FROG) program, which focuses on providing flame-resistant gear for military personnel. These waffle garments were first created by XGO and are now manufactured by different government contractors, each of which has been approved for use by the United States Marine Corps. The FROG Tops are an essential addition to any outdoorsman’s cold-weather gear.  They insulate nicely while still wicking away moisture by taking advantage of the grid fleece design.

• These waffle tops are easy to care for and can be machine washed and tumble-dried without fear of shrinkage or damage to the fabric.

FROG Grid Fleeces are made from a blend of modacrylic and rayon materials that provide excellent moisture-wicking properties, ensuring that the wearer stays dry and comfortable throughout the day. Additionally, these materials are also flame-resistant, making them an excellent choice for those working in potentially hazardous environments. Aside from a lightweight, silk-like feel it has antimicrobial properties to keep the wearer feeling fresh and ready to go!

• Mr Misty loves his set of these and sometimes even uses them just as regular PJ’s because they’re so darn comfortable and cozy in the colder months

• These pack small and thus are easy to take into the bush/field for use

• Even in the summer at night, it can get chilly. We’ve been known to save weight and bulk on heavier sleeping bags by throwing on a waffle top and/or bottom and sleeping with a woobie instead!

• We also stock the bottoms, complete the set and be supremely comfy!
